El equipo de investigación de DCODES, está liderado por Javier Álvarez Gálvez, investigador Posdoctoral Ramón y Cajal del  Departamento Biomedicina, Biotecnología y Salud Pública de la Universidad de Cádiz. Como co-investigadora principal cuenta con Carolina Lagares Franco investigadora del Departamento Estadística e Investigación Operativa de la Universidad de Cádiz.

El resto del equipo de investigación, con un marcado carácter multidisciplnar,está formado por:
– José Almenara Barrios, Catedrático del Departamento Biomedicina, Biotecnología y Salud Pública de la UCA
– Paloma Sanz Marco,   Profesora Ayudante Doctora del Departamento Marketing y Comunicación de la UCA
– Esther Ortega Martín, Investigadora Predoctoral de la UCA

Además colaboran en DCODES, investigadores de ámbito internacional  en campos como  la Comunicación y alfabetización digital en salud, Ciencias del comportamiento y psicología de la salud, Salud pública y promoción de la salud, Redes sociales, Sociología de la salud, minería de datos sociales y ciencia de los datos, reforzando, de esta manera, el carácter multidisciplinar del equipo.
